Quick & Easy Garlic Bok Choy Stir-fry

Quick & Easy Garlic Bok Choy Stir-fry

A fast, healthy, and classic Cantonese vegetable side dish. Fresh bok choy is quickly stir-fried with fragrant garlic until crisp-tender.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound baby bok choy, washed and halved or quartered lengthwise
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prep Bok Choy: Wash bok choy thoroughly, especially between the leaves, and halve or quarter.
  2. Stir-fry Garlic: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant (do not burn).
  3. Add Bok Choy: Add bok choy (white stems first for a minute, then add green leaves) to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until bok choy is tender-crisp.
  4. Add Sauces: Stir in oyster sauce and sugar. Toss quickly to coat.
  5. Serve Hot: Serve hot as a side dish.
